ZIPANG OPERA will release their 2nd EP “Ambition” on November 5 (Wed.). Ahead of that, the title song “Ambition” will be digitally released in advance on October 3 (Fri.)! The music video for the track will also premiere on the same day at 20:00! Furthermore, the full tracklist for the EP has been unveiled!
The title song “Ambition” is produced by SHIBU and YU-G, who have previously worked on various ZIPANG OPERA songs. Incorporating elements of opera, which is reflected in the group’s name, this truly expressive song features a blend of strings and piano, complemented by a profound beat and a melodic progression that highlights their individuality.
The lyrics in this song confronts the contradictions and impulses that is latent to life. It illustrates the image of facing pain, conflict, and instinct while striving to move forward within the span of “life”, a time that can feel both long and short. It expresses the determination to carefully weave one’s own unique story by defying fate and following the inner voice that resonates deeply, ultimately carving out one’s own way of life.
Additionally, the music video for “Ambition”, also releasing the same day, is themed around “returning to the starting point” and was filmed in a sacred location. Dressed in dignified and refined attire, the members express the challenges and journey of life through their performances against a backdrop of stairs and antique scenery. The visuals merge the magnificent and profound melodies with the beauty that lies withing strength, resulting in a striking and fascinating work. The music video is set to release as a YouTube Premiere on ZIPANG OPERA’s official YouTube channel on October 3 (Fri.) at 20:00.
