【iScream】The 3rd digital single “Tsutsumikomu Youni…” to be released on January 14, 2022!

The digital single “Tsutsumikomu Youni…”, which is the third work of LDH’s new girls group “iScream” that debuted in June this year, will be released!

“Tsutsumikomu Youni…” is a cover of MISIA’s debut hit released in 1998!
When this song was released in 1998, the iScream members, who are now high school students, were not even born. But after learning R&B and hip hop culture, they also learned about the impact and emotions that “Tsutsumikomu Youni…” brought to people in the 1990s, the dawn of Japanese R&B. In the 2020s, they want to deliver them again, which is why they decided to cover this song.

The track was rearranged by the extraordinarily talented music producer Dirty Orange using the modern sound production, and you can feel the homage to those days throughout it. iScream also sings along that groove with a hybrid approach unique to the current generation, while showing the respect for the original song. This work will make you fully feel the charm of the members as vocalists.

Same as the previous work, the cover for this work is also created by Japan’s iconic illustrator Harumi Yamaguchi! The female figure drawn by Yamaguchi artistically expresses iScream’s penetrating voices and the worldview of the song.

We will release our 3rd single “Tsutsumikomu Youni…” on 1/14!
It is MISIA’s debut song, and we feel very honored to cover this masterpiece that dominated the music scene in the 90s.

This is the first cover song of iScream, so we had many challenges. We went through trial and error to create the groove while imagining the session with the instruments. As it is our first time to try this type of tune, we practiced hard while paying close attention to hearing and sensibility until the very end. During the recording, we were conscious of how to deliver the features of iScream. We sang with the mindset of creating our own work while respecting the original song.

We have put all the feelings and emotions that we felt into this song, so we would be happy if we manage to deliver a new “Tsutsumikomu Youni…” sung by iScream.

Moreover, we think everyone will want to move their body and dance while listening to this song. We would be happy if this song will be listened to by both people who know the original song “Tsutsumikomu Youni…” and people of the same generation as us and younger who will hear it for the first time !
